I'm starting to wonder about this child. First we learn that she does not like pizza; now we find out that she doesn't like trick-or-treating! What kid doesn't like free candy?!? Here's how our night went: Kate would walk up to a door, the homeowner would ask whether she wanted some candy, Kate would reply "noooooo" or "no, no, no" and then walk away. Kate's cousin Talia (only a few months older than Kate) was a much quicker study and grabbed handfuls at every house.
And, yes, we had two costumes this year. I was particularly proud of my Dorothy creation, but she hated it. After fighting her to try on the Dorothy outfit a few days before Halloween, I gave in and bought the off-the-rack elephant costume that she LOVED…go figure.
