Kate's Baptism

A few weeks ago we traveled to Chicago to baptize Kate at our family church in Naperville. It was a whirlwind weekend, but one that we will never forget. We are so blessed to have such a wonderful family and great, close friends. We were honored that so many people traveled great distances to be with Kate on this big day.

Here's a snapshot of the weekend in photos:

We enjoyed dinner on Saturday night at Leanderson-family-favorite restaurant, Rosebud. Aunt Kris and Uncle Pete came from DC to be with us.

Grannie Jannie and Kate spent some quality time together at dinner.

Nana (Grandma Leanderson) had Kate's gown made from her wedding dress. It was absolutely beautiful and is destined to be a family heirloom.

Aunt Megan and Uncle Mat were Kate's sponsors and managed to keep her happy (and quiet) throughout the baptism. Job well done!

Thanks Mom and Dad for planning and hosting an amazing weekend. Everything was perfect!

We tried to take a few family photos -- here's one of the best. Ben, Kate and I with our siblings (Uncle Matt and Aunt Annie, Aunt Kara and Uncle Sam and Aunt Meg and Uncle Mat).

Thanks Aunt Katie for making the trip from DC to be with us!

A delicious brunch followed church (thanks Mom and Dad). Here's the whole Abrams crew.

Two satisfied brunch-goers.

Kate was lucky to have two of her great-grandparents with us, including Great Grandma Gloria (Ben's grandma) and Great Grandpa Jerry (my grandpa).
